10 M12 and 10 M10 main studs, 20 nuts, 30 hardened parallel washers and 10 M10 side bolts. The bundle includes four sockets, an Allen wrench and assembly lubricant.

Engineering details

Two joints. Defined roles.

Head studs secure the cylinder head to the block. Main studs secure the crankshaft main-bearing caps. Use the hardware and procedure specified for each assembly.

Head hardware

The CP893 kit supplies the head studs and accompanying hardware used to secure the cylinder-head assembly.

Main hardware

The MP890 kit supplies the main studs and accompanying hardware used at the crankshaft main-bearing caps.

Strength specification

The XOTIC 7200 head and main studs in this bundle have a published tensile-strength range of 220,000–240,000 psi. Tensile strength describes the material under tension; it is not an installed clamping-force or horsepower rating.

This bundle contains one CP893 head-stud kit and one MP890 main-stud kit. The included-kit list identifies their hardware and links to each component.

Does it fit my engine?

For the listed 7.3L Ford Godzilla V8 applications. The main kit combines M12 and M10 studs with M10 side bolts.

Do both kits use the same installation procedure?

No. The head and main assemblies have separate hardware arrangements and tightening procedures. Use each kit’s labeled manual; do not transfer torque values between them.
