Head Stud Kit

I picked up this head stud kit for the 3.6L Pentastar in my 2013 Dodge Charger as a backup for future engine work. The car is starting to get some miles on it, and I wanted to have the parts ready if I eventually need to tackle head gasket work or a larger engine refresh.Initial quality looks very good. Everything arrived sealed well in individual bags, and the hardware appears clean and nicely machined. The kit also includes the special tool for installing the studs, along with an Allen key setup to help keep everything secure while torquing things down, which is a nice addition.I haven’t needed to install the kit yet, but based on first impressions it seems like a quality setup. Hopefully I won’t need it anytime soon, but I’m glad to have the parts on hand when the time comes.

I decided to grab this Xotic Performance kit while I had the top end of my engine apart for a head gasket job. The stock bolts on these engines are known to stretch sometimes and I really did not want to deal with that ever again. These studs feel much more solid and heavy duty than the factory ones I pulled out. I put them in my Jeep with the 3.6 engine and everything lined up perfectly without any issues. It is a lot easier to get a consistent feel when you are tightening everything down with studs instead of the standard bolts. If you are doing any major work on a 3.2 or 3.6 Dodge or Chrysler it is a no brainer to swap these in while you are already in there.
